At the moment we have Dish Network but we would like to put up an antenna and cancel Dish to save money.

We live in Sherman Texas.

We use cell phones, no landline. We have a satellite for internet (hughsnet).
Since I drive a truck I'm not home to see my shows so I'd like the ability to record them. From what I've read you need a landline to setup a DVR or TiVo when you buy your own. Any idea's?

I know we'll be able to get Kten and KXII with no problem(we get them now with rabbit ears) but I'd love to pick up the Dallas channels, is that possible?

Thanks!

Not with rabbit ears from Sherman. The new DtvPal Dvr that Dish sells does not need a phone line to setup. It is for recording over the air digital tv only, not satellite. Would work well for 10 and 12.

Be aware that KXII is shutting down their analog transmitter tomorrow and moving their digital signal back from channel 20 to 12 so viewers in Texoma will need to rescan their OTA locals sometime tomorrow.
