So I was chatting with a tech support guy at comcast and I wanted to know if they had any timeline on when the Tivo software would be available in the Seattle/Tacoma areas and he said in December. Has anyone else heard this from comcast CSRs or tech folks? Also do any comcast customers in other areas have the comcast/tivo setup, if so how do you like it and how much extra do you pay?

they been talking bout this for 1 and half years already and still no tivo software on any comcast dvr's i know of, unless youre a beta tester

dont hold your breath

A few months ago I talked to a csr and she told me a new HD dvr would be available by fall and to call back then. Called back today and was told that what I "heard"was going to be a Panasonic box was actually going to be a Sony with "Tivo" like functions. It might be available by the end of the year or early spring. I've already turned red holding my breath on this one.---Ray
