transfering stored show from one receiver to another?

Hi All.
New to the forum and tomorrow I'm upgrading to TurboHD DVR Vip622, from 522 DVR. Question..will the tech be able to transfer the saved shows from my old 522 to the new 622 before he takes it away?? (No I don't have an EHD)

Also, will the new 622 remote actually turn on/off my new Olieva LCD?

Nope.

Do you own the 522? If so and you get to keep it after the 622 is installed, you can still view the recorded programs on the 522 even if it isn't hooked up to the satellite. But if it is leased and they're taking it away, garys is right - no way to transfer.
