transferring content from one dvr to hd dvr?

How do I transfer my content of my dvr to my new hd dvr? I have some movies and events i want to put on my new dvr from my old one.

You don't the only signal the DVR can record is the signal from the satellite dish.

A DVR is not for saving movies or other shows-its made for recording viewing and deleting. If the movies are in the SD format, which I would guess they are then hook up a DVD recorder or VCR thru coax if a VCR, or composite video or even better S-Video if either recorder has that input. Press play on the DVR, and press record on the DVD rec or VCR. after it has finnished its play back and recording you then will have a copy of movie stored in a place where it will not take up space on your new HD DVR.

Why would you want to take valuable recording space away from the HDTiVo?
Keep the regular DirecTV TiVo for SD content and reserve the HDTiVo for HD content.
