I swear I saw a technician once transfer settings for a remote control from one remote into another but am failing at searching. Anyone ever do this? I have 40.0 remotes and really don't want to mess around finding my home theater remote code.

Thanks in advance,

~Dave

You can not transfer settings to another remote. It will back up settings so that they can be transferred to another Hopper.

According to the restore screen the option to restore the remote is there, are you saying it doesn't work?

He's saying he wants to transfer remote back-up to another remote.

Ummmmmm, pretty sure you back up one remote, then go back to tools to restore to the new remote

Yes, HipKat is correct. The remotes save what has been placed on the receiver. So, if you want the second remote to mirror the first you do do a restore from tools using the second remote.
