Transferring Remote Control Settings 40.0

I swear I saw a technician once transfer settings for a remote control from one remote into another but am failing at searching. Anyone ever do this? I have 40.0 remotes and really don't want to mess around finding my home theater remote code.

You can not transfer settings to another remote. It will back up settings so that they can be transferred to another Hopper.

Exactly, thanks for clarifying it's not possible. I guess I'll be looking up codes and seeing what's close enough again.

Ummmmmm, pretty sure you back up one remote, then go back to tools to restore to the new remote

Yes, HipKat is correct. The remotes save what has been placed on the receiver. So, if you want the second remote to mirror the first you do do a restore from tools using the second remote.
