Transponder maps, 99s, channel breakups and confused

I'm in the Ft Wayne LiL area.

I experience periodic (randomly, but for a period of time) breakups of my locals and the associated SFSS message on those locals.

According to the excellent list over on the post DIRECTV Transponder Map: Data of 10/13/09 - DBSTalk.Com, my locals are on 99W TP 6 (Ka-high).

Trouble is, when I go over the signal strength screen, even when I DON'T see a breakup, I see a SS of 0 on 99s, TP6.

Sometimes, I see a strength of 66-80 on it, but most of the time it shows 0, even when I'm watching the channel fine. Of course, it only happens when the better half is taping her shows, so you get long periods of HD nothingness recorded.

Dish is peaked. Here are the SS. The red one is the one I THINK I should be looking at.

Dish is AU-9 legacy, 4 cables down to slope eq->amp->polarity locker->splitters (HF) feeding a SWM and WB68.

When the problem happens, it happens on ALL (SWM and legacy). Bypassing the stack straight in from the dish to a receiver yields same results, with lower signals, but the channels work (just not the LiL's).

Dish is firmed up with stabilizer bars. Wind will probably take the roof and the garage with the dish before it wobbles.

My thoughts are the LNB is going, so much so that I ordered another one from solidsignal just to have a spare.

Am I looking at the right slot for the SS on the TP screen or do I have to add an offset to get the right one. Is it worth (when I can catch a signal on it) to try and peak what I think is the right one to see if I can get it higher?

Just looking at your post and your SS's on the 999s) I would suspect that you are NOT on the transponor that you think you are.
Chances are , normally the HIGH ones are your locals as there would otherwise be very little on your particular Spotbeam sat.
I have not looked into it yet, but we do have charts listed here as well, may be the a same person doing it for both , not sure, theres also Lyngsat as well to check. who's sight I had bookmarked but appear to have lost it now.
We use to have it Stickyed, but it appears to be gone now.

After looking at the list on dbstalk for Fort Wayne, I only found channel 33 to be on the 99 sat, the others are still on the 73, according to that list, but who knows how old it its at this point.

The list only shows ONE of my Toledo channels up on the 99 and they have been up for many months now, probably since March I think.

SD's were on 72, but HD's have moved to the 99 slot. Also, FWA is slated to go to only on the 99 on 11/4/09.

The list on "the other site" updated earlier this week shows all the HD's (aka MPEG-4's) on 99 and the MPEG-2's on 72.

I know the list showed transponder 6, but the other transponers have very high and good SS on them, I'm trying to figure out what they are doing for you, seeing they are on spotbeams, not conus. Normally I waould say they were SS's for other local cities in the area, but in your case, I don't see any major cities in your area.
Indy would probably be too far, I would imagine one of them is my market in Toledo, I'm thinking I'm on 99- 16 as they were the first ones to pop in when the sat went live in this area. I too have high signals in the 19-24 area now that was not there originally, but am unsure what they are being used for , if anything.
