I've had the phone for several months without problems. I haven't added any new applications for at least 3 months. I've been without problems despite heavy use...
...until today.
Everytime I use SMS the phone crashes. Specifically, anytime I end a word with a period or question mark, or if I use the space bar (all in SMS) it crashes. Interestingly, I can begin a text with a period (or elipsis, "..."), but I cannot end a word with a period or question mark. Additionally I cannot separate words with a space. I can separate words with apostrophes. The'end'result'are'texts'like'this.
Any of the aforementioned infractions result in a crash requiring a soft reboot. No other applications appear to be affected. At least until after I've entered SMS, then everything starts crashing.
I was able to successfully sync with my laptop uneventfully.
I know the likely first step would be to do a hard reset and require re-installation of my programs. I would like to avoid this if possible.
Has anybody heard of this happening or know of a solution?
