I'm considering updating my original Hopper to the new Hopper 3. My kids have some recordings that they would like to keep, so I decided to transfer some recordings to an external hard drive that I had laying around so I could transfer them to the Hopper 3 later on.
My problem is that when I connect the EHD, I get Message 1555 that states "This receiver is not currently activated. Content from your multi-media device will not be available until activation is complete. Please contact customer service at...".
Does this make any sense? The receiver is definitely activated and functional. My hard drive is 500GB and it's externally powered.
