Hi Guys

I'm truly a novice but am interested in learning more about FTA satellites.

Question: I'm a little confused about were my True South Satellite is located.

I'm at 31.069396N ---- 93.287899W ------ 180.03 Azimuth ---- 53.71 elevation ---- I think the satellite I'm looking for is INSAT 3A is this correct or what?

I've purchased a CoolSat 4000 Pro with a 76cm dish with a pansat PM900S motor with a LNB universal type.

Is there a diagram that shows the relationship of each satellite based on it position ( latitude or longitude)?

Any information for this newbie would be greatly appreciated.

If you look at Lyngsat ( www.lyngsat.com ) or one of the other guides, you can determine the longitude by looking at the satellite name. For instance IA6 at 93 degrees is at 93 degrees longitude. I believe most of the sats are in geo-synchronous orbit around the equator, so I guess that would make them 0 degrees latitude.
