trying to improve picture quality.

I am wondering if anyone can give me some idea's on how to improve picture Quality.

What is better S video cable or Component cables ??
is there a paticular brand that is best??
Ok any advice would be great.

I am running my IPTV into my JVC DVD recorder and although the picture quality on most this is Good on fast moving sports the picture quality is not so good not sharp. i wanna try to make it better.

Why the double/repost?

The same info will apply. What is the bitrate at which the IPTV is sending? Set it to whatever the highest is. This is likely where the problem is; its the service, not your gear. Its SD images so using component is not going to improve on anything.
