I'm over in ILL, 15 miles from KBGU-LP and would like to pick it up since I'd like to keep GET TV, BUZZR especially when I cut out DISH. I'm not sure being low powered if I can pick it up? I've recently changed out my Balun and coaxial that goes to the splitter. This has made a huge difference in just giving the rest of the channels a stronger signal from at least 85 to 100 strength. Still no KBGU-LP though.

The big thing I'm assuming, I have an antenna that's easily 35 years old and understand being around when VHF ruled there's really not much UHF portion. Still like I mentioned I pick up everything else really well now. And the antenna is on the roof.

So would a new antenna maybe pick up KBGU-LP? The various sites like Channel master antenna guide location shows it very well could along with TV FOOL.

I did have a preamp by the antenna and it was too much which over-powered the PBS so it wouldn't pick it up. And even then with preamp no KBGU-LP.

I noticed there was a "Co-Channel warning" so could that be the reason too?

So in the end I'd ultimately like to know with an updated antenna with a long Yagi as I think it's called, do you think that could work?

Thanks for any help.

Have you looked up rabbit ears and see how they transmit their signal. Different stations broadcast their signal in different patterns. Omni directional, some look like fans some are just aimed one direction.

Can you post your Tvfool report?

PS- KBGU has applied to move to UHF-27.

KBGU has a non-directional antenna mounted about half way up the tower. Maybe you have a birdie (harmonic) in your system that is confounding you. Have you tried other tuners or adding/removing a section of cable?

For some reason when I try to link something here it says it's spam so can't put in full report from TV Fool. Will just go bit by bit I guess.

The Nm(db) for KBGU is 46.7. For that co-channel warning I know it shares a real channel with our local Fox channel.

You need to make a certain number of posts,5 I think, before you can add pictures, links etc.

The co-channel warning is because TVFool thinks KTVI has already moved to RF33.

You need at least five posts to satelliteguys.us before you can post a link.
