tv remote code?

My sister recently got a Coby Vzon television. The two codes on the dish site for Coby do not work. I tried to manually do it by pressing the up button until something hit but that didn't work either. Is she basically SOL in trying to get the dish remote to work with her tv?

Hold down TV button till all light up and it starts to blink.. then hit the TV power button once and it should go solid, press channel up or down to cycle through the codes... do this with TV turned on and when one of them hits it will turn off TV, at that point press the # key and it locks and your done.

Just keep in mind some TV's don't have codes that will work so this is a 50/50 shot

Doh, I forgot to press the tv power button before searching the first time. It picked it up after about 10 clicks. Works like a charm now. Thanks!
