My son says some times he can't change the channels on his TV coming from the TV2 port from the 722k. It finally stopped all together. None of the buttons would do anything. It's the TV2 remote that came with the 722K. Tried another remote set up for TV2, that had been working, with the same results. Some times they will work for only one button push. Installed the attenuator, no help. I have tried changing the remote address on both remotes with no help. Also, the remote shows it takes the change, but the System info screen still shows the old address. Remote 1 is set to 6, and TV2 is stuck on 9. TV2 also at times will lose it's signal, and quickly go throught the error messages of aquireing signal, ect. We do have rain in the area, but it only happens on TV2. TV1 is rock solid.

I figured out his channels cutting out. I had both TVs tuned to Nick 170. The reason mine was good was because I was on Nick HD 129, and his is Nick SD 119. Checked the signal for 119 and for some reasone it is in the 30s. 110 and 129 in the 60s. May have to repeak the 110/119 dish.

Rather than an attenuator, maybe you need a little more signal. I've had some luck with putting the antenna on a cable that ran some distance towards TV2.

Check the remote batteries too.

You can easily move the remote antenna to the same room as TV-2 with two splitters. Combine the TV-2 output and the remote antenna input with a splitter at the receiver, then install another splitter at TV-2 with one leg connected to the antenna and the other to TV-2.

Generally looks like this:

Thanks for the help all. I don't think it's a distance issue. I can't even make it work when I'm in the same room as the receiver. Like I said before, I can't even change the remote address for TV2. It's like TV2 is isolated. No inputs at all respond. Did a hard reboot as well. No help. When you do a hard reboot, is TV2 supposed to come on as well, or should I have to wake it up? After the hard reboot mine came up on it's own. I installed the OTA module a few days ago. Could that have anything to do with it.

Actually it sounds like the batteries are dead! (The OP didn't mention replacing them.) If the remote antenna on the back of the receiver is either falling off or not on the correct port, that might also explain it.

New batteries were installed at the install last week. Antenna is plugged in to the correct port. All worked great for about 4 or 5 days. Problem started about 2 days ago. I have discovered that the remote willl work if they are about 2 feet away from the antenna. Was able to change the remote adress. changed out the batteries again. No help. Found a remote address that seems to work better, but not acceptable. Did not have this problem with the 522 that the 722K replaced.

Did you also change out the TV when switching to the 722k? Many HDTVs interfere with the UHF signal. You may want to try the splitter trick to move the antenna into the room with TV2. Is the remote currently set to band A or band B? the 522 that you replaced only uses band A so it's possible that if your new remote is set to a band B address that you could be experiencing interference that you didn't have before. If it is on band B perhaps someone else can help you switch it back to band A. I know how to on the 6.3 remotes (it's just a switch) but the 21.0 has no such switch, and some of them that I've dealt with come up as band B, others come up as band A when I program them. KIeep us informed and we'll keep trying to help.

Yes I did as a matter of fact install a new TV. I put in a 32" Sammy LCD in our bedroom at the same time we installed the 722K. Iuse two TV2s. The one in the boys room, wich is closest to our room, and he is using the TV2 remote that came with the 722K. The second TV2 is down the hall about 10 feet further from our room than his, and we have been using a 6.3 remote in there. How do I tell which band the everything is on? Thanks again for the help. It is greatly appreciated.

The new TV is the culprit. Turn off the Sammy and TV2 in the boys room works great. Will be getting some splitters to relocate the antenna. Thanks a ton.
EDIT: Moved the antenna about 3 feet away from the TV and all is good!

I think the band switch is inside the battery compartment on the 6.3...

Thank you as well. Found the switch and swapped the bands now it works again as well. Gotta love this site and all the folks on it!!!!!!!!:up
