TV2 output works via coax but not RCA cable (problem solved)

Bought a new Toshiba TV. The 522 output via RCA cable (red, white, yellow) into TV worked. Good picture quality on the Toshiba 14AF44. Then after a few days, I turn on the TV -- and just snow. Checked the channel (74) at both devices, although that should not matter. Tried single and dual mode; no difference. Unplugged 522 for five minutes for a reset; no difference.

So I had to revert to a coaxial cable connection from the 522 to the Toshiba. That works, but it makes me so angry that the RCA cable connection worked then stopped working.

I am on my third 522 receiver (two no-charge swaps) in three months of service. I do not want to swap again.

Have had L232 software for about a week, before all this started. No other problems with it.

Sorry, I don't know what to search for to locate previous posts on this problem.

make sure the input on the tv is enabled( i know some tv's have this option) or try it on a different tv

Since you bought a new Toshiba TV, chances are that it has either an S video connection, or maybe even composite (Y,B,R) connections. Try those for your video and your audio RCA (red and white) cables for audio, or better yet, take advantage of the optical audio out for Dolby 5.1 if available and if your TV/home theater receiver has this connection.
