TV2 sees the same as TV1 on a ViP722k reciever

A friend of mine has a ViP722k receiver and if TV1 was on TV2 would show the same thing. If TV1 was off then TV2 works OK. This started a couple of weeks ago. I checked the settings, TV1 coax is disabled and the channel for TV2 is 73. I made sure the TV was set on channel 73. Any ideas? It has been a long time since I messed with a ViP722k.

Is it in dual mode?

I did check that and it looked like it was in dual mode but I could not change it. The buttons were greyed out.

The button is on the front panel, not in the menu, to change modes

I would check the amber/yellow light on the receiver. If it is illuminated under the single TV option, then that is the problem. The amber/yellow light should be illuminated under the double TV and you change that by pressing the MODE button behind the door on the front of the 722k.
