TWC DVR Records 1st Run TV shows twice

I'm wondering if I'm the only one having this issue:

Time Warner DVR service in Anaheim CA
Using a Motorola DCX 3400

When I create a Series recording of a show I like, say Entourage, Sunday HBO at 10:30...I set the recording settings to record ONLY new episodes and save them until I delete them.

What I get is 3 recordings of Entourage... the first at 10:30 and two other replays of the same show.

Maybe there's a setting I'm missing but every Monday, I have to go through and delete the duplicate recordings.

Any help would be appreciated

The problem is that all three shows on the first day are tagged as "NEW" in the description. When they don't do that, you can't make a later showing part of a series recording when a conflict occurs. Kind of a catch-22 given the fact that their DVRs are rather simple minded.

I was afraid of that - oh how I miss my DirecTV box and the wonderful control settings it had!!
