OTHER u bolts

I'm looking for u bolts for a DMS Sg2100 motor. Can't seem to find them at any hardware store.

Do you just need the ubolts themselves or the bolts and brackets. The reason I ask is that I couldn’t find the ubolts when I broke mine, but was able to get by using 4 regular bolts. Just put the bolts thru the holes in the back of the motor bracket, put the pipe clam brackets on the bolts and tighten them down with nuts.

Those brackets are so flimsy with the U-Bolts, I can imagine all kinds of trouble trying to use regular bolts. Look at what I did in this thread to help make it a better bracket.

Here are some pics of how mine is setup. I've been using the bolts for well over a year with no issue even when I had my 1 meter channel master on. But the quality of the brackets probably varied significantly over the production run, so you should decide for yourself whether to add some armor plating first.
