UF Now SEC Champs.. National Title game??

So UF deserves a shot at OSU because they beat a team by 10 points at home that got schooled at home at
ark by a team that lost to 2 unranked teams?

I'm a Big East supporter, and even I think the SEC has the best conference in collage football.

Florida played tougher teams than Michigan.

Florida has the Better Record than michigian anyhow now, so i think Florida has the right to play for the BCS National title against my buckeyes.

yes, i agree a playoff is needed. sometime today, one deserving team is going to be excluded for the right to play for a national championship.

go to espn.com and read a great argument written in favor of florida. i'm very biased here so no one will care what i say. the author, mark (don't remember his last name) lists 10 head to head reasons why the gators have earned the right to play ohio state.

he lists these factors: florida beat more bowl eleigible teams; florida won a conference championship; florida was 3-1 against ranked teams, michigan 1-1 and the win over the irish is questionable; plus others.

How is Michigan's win over Notre Dame questionable? The beat them 47-21. Even one or two bad calls would not make this game questionable.

Why not post a link to the article.

because notre dame is overrated and doesn't deserve a bcs berth. they lost to michigan and southern cow by a total of 46 points. i believe those are the only 2 ``teams'' they actually played this season. sorry. beside, ya think the powers that be in south bend are secretly saying to themselves....we blew it when urban meyer went to florida? i do!

Notre Dame is the most overrated football team there is. They play the Military academies. every good team they played they lost to them.

Even though I don't want to see a rematch, I think that Michigan would give the best competition in the championship.

Kirby if you take out west carolina and compare uf vs mich UF still comes out on top.. why shouldnt a conf champ face a conf champ?

If you take away WEst carolina and compare UF vs Mich.. UF still comes out on top.. Mich wasnt good enough to beat ohio so why do they deserve a rematch ? compare the schedules game for game, and youll see UF had more ranked teams them mich did. mich had what 2 top 10 teams, FLorida played 6 RANKED top 25 teams. and won.

Florida played 4 teams that were in the top 25 and won three out of the 4. They were 2 for 2 on top 10 teams, but the highest ranked team was 8. Michigan finished 1-1 againts the #1 and #2 ranked teams. Oh I forgot to mention that Michigans only loss was away against the number 1 team in the country and they only lost by 3.

Both Michigan and Florida deserve to be in the National Championship game. We will just need to wait to see how the cards fall.

There are two teams with one loss and Michigans only loss was on the road at OSU by 3pts.

Any gambler will tell you that home field gives you a 3 point advantage.

At some point someone will have the stones and stand up to the NCAA and all that bowl money and come up with a playoff system. It works in every other division of football and in every other sport.

Every college that gets snubbed or thinks they "deserve the right" to play in the national championship should look in their mirror and point the finger at themselves for not forcing the powers at be to scrap the BCS.

Of course the otherside to this mess is what happens if they do have an 8 team playoff?

So for arguments sake (you think picking teams 1 and 2 are hard)
which of these teams belong in the top 8? (BCS standings wk of Nov 27th)

7 Wisconsin 11-1 6 2176 .764 6 1221 .775 .590 8 .710
8 Boise State 12-0 9 1872 .657 9 1018 .646 .720 11 .674
9 Arkansas 10-2 8 1890 .663 8 1042 .662 .660 6 .662
10 Notre Dame 10-2 10 1765 .619 12 928 .589 .670 5 .626
11 Auburn 10-2 12 1680 .589 11 985 .625 .640 12 .618
12 Oklahoma 10-2 11 1743 .612 10 994 .631 .410 15 .551
13 Rutgers 10-1 13 1558 .547 13 777 .493 .610 14 .550
14 Virginia Tech 10-2 14 1298 .455 14 744 .472 .400 17 .443

Hell the NCAA cant decide who the top 65 basketball teams are!

but you know here's a real kick in the butt......michigan beat lowly ball state by 8 points. and if i remember correctly, they had to fight to win that game!!

three points for the girl!!

Only one of those two polls count in the BCS. The AP poll does not mean anything anymore. Even though I think Florida will be the ones that go, I wouldn't buy your tickets just yet. The Harris Poll has not been released yet. If Michigan is #2 in that poll things will be interesting tonight.
