Unable to receive certain HD Channels

I use cablevision and have i/o digital cable. I am using a explorer 4200hd cable box but am unable to receive broadcasts from certain channels which I know are available to me and have seen in the past. I have tried a reboot of the box but to no avail. I can receive most of the channels but some of them give a message channel not available at this time. I am about to call the cable company but was wondering if anyone has ideas I can try prior to my making the phone call. Thank you.
 
Could be a bad box or signal problem. Call for a service call. Request a 4250 HD box. More stable box in my opinon.
 
If your getting a message saying "Channel Unavailible" That is more often then not a provisioning issue, they should be able to fix it over the phone.
 
Fellows, I had the service technician come to the house and he replaced a digital splitter and had to do some outside signal adjustments. All is well once again in HD land. Thank you all for your help. :)
