I was wondering the the real cost for leasing a 811 HD box I've been told $50 and I've been told $99?? I want to upgrade my DVR to the HD but just very confused on the price?

Ask your original retailer (or DISH if you got your system direct) what you qualify for on their "Dishin' It Up" promo.
If you have been a good customer for some time (varies according to subscription & length of service) you can add a 811 or swap your existing box for one for $99.
Some newer & lower subscription customers pay $149.
