Upgrades for H21-700 receivers

Did you mean HR21-700? The H21 is not a DVR and won't ever get VOD (and there is no -700 version).

The last CE (0x193) for the HR21-700 added On Demand to the menu, but it just brings up a slide saying that it is coming soon. I suspect that features like VOD and video support in Media Share will arrive within the next few months. The HR20-700 has been getting the features first, followed by the HR20-100 and then the HR21-700.

There is a CE update tonight only for the HR21-700, 8:00-11:30 PST. It supposedly includes DOD.

The CE is 0x1E1. It appears to have all the features of the HR20-700, including DOD, the new menu and support for video in Media Share.

One of the problems with this upgrade is there is no optical 5.1 Dolby Digital audio with the 0x1E1 program...
