Just got off the phone with a CSR, and didn't get the answers I was expecting, so I decided to come to the one place I know I can get a correct answer!
I currently have an 811 and a 942, with the old HD Pak plus the $5 Voom channels with Top 120 and 2 movie channels.
My desire was to upgrade the 811 to a 622. CSR told me it would be $199, with no rebate available (was hoping for the $10 for 10 months deal).
I knew I would have to upgrade to a metal package. However, I was told that even with the Platinum package (that is like the "all-everything", right?) there would be two DVR fees, one each for the 942 and the 622. I thought the DVR fees were waived when you had the "all-everything" package.
Do I have something wrong in my thinking, or was I a victim of bad CSR info.
I already have a second dish pointing at 61.5. Do I need the new three LNB dish? The CSR said that was included in the upgrade price, but I don't know if I need that or if there is any advantage. Will 61.5 be going away someday?
Finally, are there any other fees (besides for local channels)?
