Hey guys - This is my first post. I've been reading the forum for a couple weeks as i'm looking to upgrade to dish's hd service. i've been with dish for about 4 years now and i think i'm ready to pull the trigger with their hd. i've been watching hd thru ota which has been fine. but it would be nice to record hd and get all the other hd channels out there. my current setup is a 522 receiver with a 322 downstairs(sd tv). i would like to go with the 722 receiver.

my hd tv has only one hdmi input and i have that dedicated to my oppo dvd player. will i be missing anything if i go component instead of hdmi on the 722?

also, will the 322 have to be replaced with a different receiver?

any other comments or suggestions are welcome.

btw, i'm in round rock just outside of austin.

Component will be just as good as HDMI. However, DRM MIGHT come into play in the future, and component would then not deliver HD. In that case, you could buy a remote control HDMI switch. I don't see any reason to drop the 322 as long as it serves an SD tv.
