Uplink Activity Report - 01/24/2007 - 274 changes

I'll post pictures late, but as I can see the satellite have transponders on - 7,9,11,17,19,21,23 and 24,22,20,18,16,14 and three more even numbers.
Little akward because of DP LNBF.

EDIT. Pictures added.
It's hard to identify even tps in Hi-band, seems to me there are many problems with TWTA.

Ah, so that's how they have 5 HD channels on one transponder. I asked earlier how they were doing it but I guess I got my answer now.

For the experts, what's a good bit rate for MPEG4 so the picture looks good? I believe it was 14 Mbps for MPEG2.

I have not seen the video quality yet... But I did log in and grab these bitrates a few moments ago.

The video quality on them as far as resolution numbers are the same as they were before.

ESPN2 1280x720
NFL 1440x1080
NatGeo 1280x720
StarzHD 1440x1080
HGTVHD 1440x1080
FoodHD 1440x1080

Well starting this year you will see more broadcasters adopted the H.264 compression standard.

I assume you are not referring to OTA broadcasts. Not in ATSC spec.

Wouldn't the ESPN-2 signal have to be encoded in real time? Or are they only showing canned stuff?
