We were supposed to get our local FOX in HD today, but instead they removed it before they turned it on (KQFX). I had some very reliable sources that said it would be on today. What they did, for EA customers, is put up the SD feed for us.

I'm waiting for the press release trumpeting 122 HD channels (given they were claiming 114).

Seriously, HD VOD should eliminate the need for all but one or two HD PPV channels. What a firkin' waste. Who keeps buying all the PPV to encourage this?

Dish has used "TMP" channels as placeholders/tests before. Why would they start using PPVs now?

Apparently, Dish has learned nothing from DirecTV's blunder.

Last time I counted 53 HD channels that I actually receive and two of those channels are Regional Sport that might show 6 hours of HD programming every week. Have no interest Pay Per View so those channels are as non-existent as CNBC HD, ToonDisney HD, Disney HD, TWC HD, Lifetime HD, LMN HD, HMC HD, Bravo HD, Family HD, Green HD, WGN HD, and NBA HD. Many of those channels contain next to no HD programming. So that brings the number HD channels carried by DISH down to 41, which is 59 short of the claimed 100.

Charlie Chat maybe? When was the last Charlie Chat. Cause he did say Scranton Wilkes Barre would have HD locals in 30 -45 days from that charlie chat. And well he didn't lie , Except we only got 1 HD network. Thats BS!

Well I finally got the rest of my locals (Chattanooga) in HD today. We actually got our local PBS in HD.

IIRC, it was the Charlie Chat in July(?) not positive, but I was relatively sure there was one where he came out with the 150 National HD Channels by the end of the year announcement and talked about Sling. Maybe I dreamt it.........I take everything they say with a grain of salt.

Anyone else remember hearing that?

Charlie said more national HD when Echostar 11 went into operation. (Its been in operation for 2 months now)
