it is a mirror of the National PBS channel for markets that don't have a PBS
In this case, it is attached to Dothan, AL

Instead of DIsh putting it at its normal spot (249) they mirror it to the "PBS" spot in a markets locals (no it does not take up any more transponder space). They have probably 15 of these up there

It belongs to the locals that were just turned on for Dothan, AL. It's a PBS mirror channel.

Stuff coming soon that they don't want us seeing the name of? Dish's uplink crew can name a channel whatever they want... 5878 - FROG, 5878 - BUG, 5878 - SATGY, etc...

Remember, on these uplink reports we can't see the channels that they put up. We are just seeing the maps of the channels.

If you look at the crap that gets downloaded into your TV ENTERTAINMENT list on the DVRs you'll see that the shows in there are recorded off the SOON channels.

It is speculated that this year the HOLIDAY MUSIC CHANNEL is going to be only available to customers with At180.If this turns out to be true tomorrow,I can say one thing BAH HUMBUG .If they are to tight to let all Dish subscribers have this channel they are just like Ebenezer SCROOGE..

Yeah, I've noticed that as well. Tthe soon channels are used by TV Ent option.
