Kind of bites, but I understand since the DNC was in Denver and they had the HD agreement worked out with the DNC.

As I recall the DNC did not show as HD until a few minutes after it started. I could be wrong but that would be a first. ( In the last two minutes.)

More reduction in Forward Error Correction FEC) on the E-11 satellite as Dish takes advantage of its high power output. I guess we will see how many SD channels Dish will put onto a single TP.

I was referring to the fact that it had been changed to Not Available and renamed from RNC08 to TMP13

I know, I was thinking the same thing. Last year after the football season they changed the ALT10 mapdowns to HDALT mapdowns that currently show other sports events. If they do restore the ALT10 mapdowns to the old numbers they'll have to find a place to move those other events.


....which makes me think they might not restore the big ten hd alternate mapdowns at all causing several viewers to miss the alternate big ten games.

Just got word that there is no HD pool feed from the RNC. That is why Dish is not carrying it in HD. If there was a HD pool feed available they would be carrying it.

Scott,with all that signal (power) coming from sat.11,are we to see more HD.program loaded to that SAT.?That would be nice,then there wont be any shortage of signal,we're at MAX.right now....Good thing....

Translation: 20.000 * 2 * 5/6 * 188/204 = 30.72 Mbit/sec

20.000 * 2 * 7/8 * 188/204 = 32.25 Mbit/sec

Not really a huge change, but over 16SD TPs it will give them 23 more mbits to play with. Most of the way towards possibly freeing up one more TP for HD.

E* is not subscribing to the HD feed pool by Game Creek Video. Northstar HD truck is providing the HD feed.
