Halftime!

Excellent job by the US team. Both on defense and offense!

You know, with communications technology the way it is, it shouldn't be all that difficult for a referee's game clock to be connected to the scoreboard via bluetooth or other such protocol letting everyone know EXACTLY how much time is left in the half or game.

That last attack on goal by Brazil at 55 seconds of stoppage time got my heart pumpin'.

It would also remove any doubt about the referee being biased on the stoppage time by allowing one last attack by any team.

Just a thought

[edit]I am not insinuating anything here! It's just been a little pet peeve of ming. [/edit]

I have often thought the same thing so you'll get no argument from me.

I had the exact same thought. If Brazil would have scored the US would have been toast in the 2nd half.

Was that a goal?

Brazil got screwed! When Howard pushed the ball out it hit against the crossbar on the INSIDE of the goal. Oh well. You can't have a good championship game without some controversy :D

Oh my! Great save by Howard, but Brazil should have tied it up. Just an observation: the US Team isn't playing bad, but they are keeping everyone below midfield. The last two times they moved the ball into the offensive zone they wound up passing into 1-on-5 coverage.
