Can I use a 40.0 Hopper remote on a DVR 525 and, if so, how to set up. I have 2 extra remotes I want to connect for my dad as his uhf remotes are very weak, but I was unable to connect the 40.0 to his DVR. Can anyone offer help? Thank you.

The 40.0 are 2g and the 625 is Normal UHF. I don't think those remotes are going to work on the 625.

40.0 and 32.0 don't send the IR signals or the UHF Pro needed for the older DVRs.
