USe of DOCSIS 3.0 Modem

I currently have the Cox Preferred (25 MB) service with a DOCSIS 2.0 modem. My Speedtest download results are in the 25 MB range. Would I be likely to gain anything with a 3.0 modem without upgrading my service?

The answer to your question depends on your usage. Unless you need an ultra-high tier or have special needs, the answer is no. Docsis 2.0 is really all most of us need
