v box er2 help

My v box now shows er2 either way or just stayed on the position number it was on.
It is moving the dish and I can go to next sat in list but still says er2.
All wiring is good and have reset twice with no luck.
Can it be the v box as I just got new actuator 2 months ago?

Since the motor is running and able to move the dish, Er2 and/or count not changing indicates that the reed switch sensor open/close cycles are not being received at the controller. This might be due to failed controller, failed distribution wiring or a failed reed switch. Is there 5vdc+/- on the controller sensor terminals when moving the dish? Can you rapidly touch the controller leads together and cause the count to change?

Disconnect the controller and power the dish motor with a 12VDC battery. Place an ohm meter or continuity tester across the reed switch leads. Does the tester indicate the switch is opening and closing as the dish slowly moves?
