Some backstory...

Some people noticed that VAC in Counter-Strike: CO was collecting DNS info and web browsing history. Gamers threw a sh*t fit, accusing Valve of "pulling an EA" (although I don't recall any instance of EA secretly collecting customer data.) Anyways God Gabe came down from upon his perch at Valve and went on Reddit to clarify that this was simply VAC working to fight against cheaters/hackers, and that they're really not recording user browsing data. Wise move by him to squash this, and damn quick too. I don't think this was a story for even 12 hours before he clarified things. GGG.
