Hi guys...I'm having trouble with my #1 remote....just out of the blue it started acting up...all that works on it is the mute button and the volume control and if I switch to the TV selector it will power on/off the TV but when on SAT it will not power it...I have tried everything in the manual and even reset IRD to default settings and even did a check switch...but nothing....it must be a communication problem between IRD and remote because it weon't even let me change the remote addresses...any suggestions....thanx,IB

If your tv2 remote is working fine, you can switch the key at the bottom to make it an IR remote to see if the IR sensor on the rec is good.

You can also make TV1 respond to a UHF remote permanently if the sensor is bad and you just get another tv2 remote

Go to menu>setup>system info. Press record on the remote. Then Done. Then View Live TV. Try the remote again.
