When recording an HD progam on the receiver even though I schedule the event with the TV1 remote it records on the TV2. Is this normal? Is there any way to change this???

Are you in dual or single mode? In single mode it really doesn't matter. There is a way to choose the default for dual mode - it is called record plus. Menu 8 (Preferences), 6 (Record Plus), then make the selection for TV 1 or TV 2.
