My first TV seems to play GREAT, looks very slick in HD...but my other TV on SD is fuzzy, like snowy.

It is not the TV, because I can play DVD's fine, and my 360 fine.

I also notice that when it is on that screensaver screen, it gets clear after 4-5 seconds of being on that screen...but I press select and go back to viewing TV from the sat. and it goes back to fuzzy snow.

Any ideas?

BTW, i love the slingbox beta they have going, very easy to use, can't wait to see what they do with it, if they integrate it with the iphone or not.

Change the TV2 channel to something down low and see what happens. Obviously you need to do this both on the ViP722 and your TV.

what do you mean change the TV2 channel to something down low?

What would I be changing down low on the TV and the ViP?

The lowest channel number available. It's probably right now broadcasting on UHF channel 76 (from memory), so reducing the channel number reduces the frequency, potentially getting the TV away from whatever interference it's presently suffering.

How can I change it on the ViP722?

I know how to on the second TV, but how do I make it recognize the TV on another channel within the ViP?

I had zero issues with my old DVR.

OR, you could just tell me and save me the time of opening the encyclopedia of an instruction manual!

but if that's it, I guess i'll do it later this weekend.

There is a lot of things that you can learn by reading the instructions. I did and found many things I didn't even know about. It's worth it on such a capable device. If you can't figure it out, you can ask someone to do your homework for you - but you should give it a try.

perfect , thank you very much pepper :)

dropped it to 23, works great now.
Often times channel 23 is in the range of local channels that might interfere if you have an antenna connected to TV2. You might be fine - but typically they set them higher to avoid the potential confilct. I have mine set at 60 and it's great. I also watch HD channels primarily on my SD TV2, they look better.

Hey there....had the same issue on mine. Set it to 21 and all was well. The installer noted that certain tv's, particularly Sony's ( like mine ) needed to be set to 21 in order for clearer pictures. Thought it was an interesting random fact. Not sure how true it was, as I think thekrell's explanation was the most valid. -scrh1
