VIP 722 QAM Mode

I am having issues getting a receiver authorized in a QAM system. Trying to verify that it is in QAM mode and check signal strength, but the receiver will not let me into the menu. It is stuck at the receiver not activated screen and will not let me into the menu. After rebooting it let me into the menu briefly, but then went back to the receiver not activated screen. Anybody know how to get into the menu from this point?

Unhook the Q-boxes, when u get back in check switch screen, reattach them, verify your settings.

I may be mistaken, but I do not believe the 722 will work on QAM.

This document says the 722 does support working in a QAM system (in conjunction with a Q-box to remodulate QAM to QPSK).

you should have 2 q-boxes the lights should be solid . you can split the signal from the wall using a normal CATV splitter not the seperator that comes with the box.

To get back to the menu restart without the qbox after the huge dish logo press menue 6-1-1 . then place in the qbox
