VIP 722k Fan running loud and not stopping

I have noticed that this last month my 722 when off or on will at least once a day start making a fan noise like the fan was turned up on high. The fan does not stop unless we hit the reset button. The next day it will do it again.

With that said, it is 69 degrees in my house, constantly and the 722 is sitting out in the open with nothing on top or underneath it.

I have searched through the threads, but have not found anything. :rant:

I was going to ask the same question until I remembered the OP said it would not stop until he did a reset.

What do the internal temps on the receiver say? Menu, 6, 3, counters, page down

Low Temp 87
Average Temp 131

Interesting. Although a little on the high side that isn't bad. Sounds like you may have a faulty unit. I would call Dish and explain the problem and ask for a replacement.
