vip dvr 612: is it dead

I have a vip612 that has been working fine for 1 1/2 years. Yesterday my power flickered and now it will not aquire the sattelite signal. It will get to 3 out of 5 and freeze. Then it reboots. I let it reboot and then after about 45 seconds it will reboot itself again. I try to go into setup mode and before it will go through any tests it will reboot. I have tried unplugging it to do a cold boot but that does'nt help either. Any suggestions?
