ViP211 L3.42 Firmware, Heads Up

Still subbing to Dish locals. OTA EPG is good here.

so how do you have your connection set up between the satellite receiver, TV and audio receiver ?

vip211--hdmi-->receviver--hdmi--->tv (usual setup)
vip211--component + 2ch audio-->tv

I run both the component and hdmi out the vip211. Dish is nice enough to leave both enabled at the same time. This way I can watch football and listen to music at the same time.

Hmm yeah Im not doing anything off OTA so I could not tell if of that information got messed up. But it sounds like some did so if it was me I would send in a E-mail at least making them aware of the issue. ceo@echostar.com for those who do not have it. Be specific to as far as what locals you are having issue's with due to every local staion will do things differently. This is why some folks have more issue with their locals than others. Let us know what they say about the issue.

thats what I thought. My receiver doesnt have HDMI.....so mine is

VIP211--hdmi ------> TV
VIP 211---digitial audio -----> receiver digital audio

Do you have L3.42 or L3.41?

Someone is saying that his 211 went back to L3.41. I could've sworn that I had L3.42 but I just checked and it's at L3.41.

I did too. It's definitely a rollback. But, I still don't see any difference on my setup.

The only difference I see is the return of the OTA guide. I have no idea if it is related to the software rev or not.
