Hey guys. since im up in the great white north the new dish 500+ and 1000+ are hard to find besides buying online. went to my local dealer. I turned a starchoice into a dish 500+. Now the problem is after a check switch, the unit is finding ( With SW31 switch) 61.5 Port A, 110 Port B, 118Port c. Its not seeing 119 for some reason. I Used a friends FTA to point the dish ( easier then dish IRD) and i know for a fact that the fta was working on both 119 and 118 so anyone got any tips of were i went wrong, or what im missing? Thanks folks!

sorry, a legit dish receiver won't work with that combined 118/119 unit the pirates use. 119 and 118 need to be on separate lines to a DPP44 switch.

also, I never heard of a SW31, a dish receiver probably hasn't either.

From what i had read i was under the impression that the new LNB for 118 Was supposed to have one out for both 119/118 signal. Its a dual Out so mabie i should have tried the other output. Also all day my switch has been acting wonky. I've done about 5 check switch's and every time i do, it comes up with different results ( the sats r in different ports).

I took down the Makeshift dish1000 and put my normal dish500 back up for now so i can watch all the channels i sub to.

Without Buying a Dish 500+ or 1000+ is there any way i can get this setup now without dishing out another truck of cash lol?

k did a bit more reading and looks like your right. It wont work with real IRD, only fta. So i guess my next question is how would i go about hooking up 118,119,110,61.5 to a switch for 1 Receiver. Keep in mind the LNB are all legacy type.

I can just peak an extra dish for 118 only, my dish 500 for 110/119 and another wing dish for 61.5
Works fine for me, i just dont know what switch to use for this setup.
