What is the difference between the VIP 211 and the vip 211 k?

Thanks, I did a Sat Guys search and came up with an unlimited listed of threads, but not the one you reference, but I did a Google search and came up with your thread as the first result. But my search was for a VIP 211k.

I don't have much info but I remember a thread that mentioned that though they are are functionally and physically identical (except for one being silver and the other being black) that there was different chip sets so the software required a rework.

I've seen nothing but this one post so it's unconfirmed as far as I know. I have a 211K and it is cool. the logos light up by blue led illumination. Way way cool.
