vip211 w/old software and 1000.4?

I have a vip211k and the 1000.4 dish. They work fine. I bought a vip211 from ebay but the check switch doesnt see anything even though the signal strengh bars show signal I assume the software in the receiver is old. How can i get it to download software so i can run the check switch properly?? Anyway to get it to download from 61.5?

set the sat and transponder to 61.5 T29 and wait for the green bar to show locked echostar 61.5w, then begin the download.

do a checkswitch, you may have to do it a few times until you can get a good 61.5, don't worry about the others. once you have 61.5, download it. select done or cancel once the meter shows locked echostar 61.5w
