I am trying to install a VIP211k connected to a King Dome satellite system. I cannot pass the Check Switch test. any advice?

Do you run the check switch test? And if so do you see 110 and 119? Also if you do then select done and if you the message you are not seeing the correct satellite then select ok then change the satellite to 119 and transponder to 21 and see if you have a locked indication then select done and you should get the is the mounting of your dish in the locked position then select yes and you should be good
I don't see 110 and 119. I just get X's. I have tried transponder 11 and 19 (both noted in my King Dome paperwork, but haven't tried transponder 21. I will do that next.
On a King dome the Dip switches on the dish are set to DirecTV by dault. They need to be reset for Dish Network usage. Also, after that, the King dome needs to be allowed to set up bfore the check switch is run. Let it power up and do it's self check, this will take about 3 minutes, then run the check switch. It whould show a legacy 64 switch. Good luck!
