I want to get a new remote for my VIP 211K because I think it has died. The remote is labelled as 5.3IR. On Amazon there is one listed as 5.0/5.3/5.4IR. Will this work?

NO!!!! From Dish directly it would only be $20. If you call and get a good CSR, they may ship it free.

If @dwarren2 doesn't work out, go ebay.

5.3s are a little less common, but 20.0/20.1s are plentiful at less than $10 shipped.
