Vip211z new remote setup

I be been using Dish for a long time have an active account and working Vip211z receiver. My remote died. Bought a replacement remote but it didn't come with instructions to connect it to the receiver. Any ideas?

It should just work unless the remote address on the new remote or receiver have been changed from 1.

If it has, push system info on the front panel of the receiver, and then on the remote push SAT and then Record.

twinklecat Push system info on the front of the 211, and pointing the remote at the 211, hold Sat down til the lights blink, press 1, then #, then Record, it should blink three times, the number at the bottom where it shows the Remote channel should be or switch to 1
