OK, here it is. I just purchsed the 222 outright, should be here soon. I am getting rid of my old 301. I have a dish 500 connected now. Can I use a directv single lnb dish to get 129. If so, how would I wire it? Do I need any switches? Or am I going to need to buy a 1000.2. Thank you

Your best option is the Dish 1000.2.

You can use a separate dish to add 129°. The D* LNB is equivalent to E* legacy. The rest depends on which configuration of Dish 500 you have. At this point I'll have to make an assumption, tell you that legacy and DishPro (DP, DP Plus) LNBs can't be mixed, and direct you back to the 1000.2.

ok, I'll scratch the direct dish. I dont have a legacy its a dishpro. what if I use the dishpro for 119/110 and use another dishpro for 129? will that work? reason being these are the dishes I have and dont want to spend anymore. thanks

You will need a DP34 switch and a second line run to the receiver. Cheapest way to use a dual tuner receiver.
