I've had my account shut off for the last 2 years while I was overseas. I decided to throw my dish on the roof today and get my vip612 out of storage. Its been boxed up for about 2 years in storage.
I have the dish aimed at 110/119/129. I'm sure it can be tweaked a bit more, I'm in the 70s on 110 and 119, but only low 50s on 129 for signal.
My question is, is there a way to force the receiver to update? Its stuck on L6.03. Which is 2 years old. I did the setup, check switch, and cheated on the update time to a few minutes from the current time instead of the usual 3am. It did its thing, got the guide, rebooted, etc. Its still showing L603 on the system info. Anything I can do or just hurry up and wait some more and it'll update when it feels like it?
