VIP622 Hi-Def trouble

I've got 3 VIP622's (and to many kids). On two of the receivers the hi-def output no longer outputs but the other output (lo-def) still works. Are they
history and if so is this common?

The HDMI jacks on those are junk. The component outputs should still work for HD.
