New guy here, be gentle
I have a VIP622 and it's about 8 months old. TV1 works great. No issues anywhere. TV2 has worked great until about a month ago.
When TV2 goes into standby and your looking at the splash screen that says 'hit select to watch tv' I can hit select for sometimes 5 mins or sometime 10 mins before the TV will go out of standby and start working. Now, once it actually goes out of standby it works fine. No problems selecting channels, the guide, using the remote, etc. It's just getting it to come out of the standby.
Now, I went into the TV1 menu and prefrences and change standby to disabled but that, for some reason doesn't affect TV2 going into standby so that didn't help.
It doesn't seem to be a remote problem because once it does actually start working it work fine until the TV goes into standby again.
I called tech support and all they have me do is reset the unit (doesn't help).
I did a search but couldn't find anything relevant. Am I missing something obvious? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
