VIP722 Question

Need help Trying to hook up a receiver to the 722 to run the Sirius audio channels to my deck. used rca cables to connect the TV2 left and right phono outputs to the phono inputs on the receiver. Get audio but with a lot of static.
Why isn't this working ? How should I do this

Are you actually connecting the left and right audio outs to an input on your stereo marked phono, because that is meant for a turntable and will give you static. You need to hook them up to a cd or video 1 type input on the stereo receiver.
